I wish they had something like The Fortamajig when I was young. I remember using all the couch cushions, sheets from the linen closet and all the dining room chairs, much to my mother’s dismay, to build a great fort. It was forever falling down and a pain to put it all back away that my poor mother usually had the pleasure of doing. The Fortamajig is absolutely the greatest invention I’ve seen in some time. It’s basically a large tarp with a window, a door and various Velcro loops for anchoring it to any stable object in your home or out doors, it even has 4 corner pockets that your kids can hide their treasures in. The material is nylon ripstop, it’s water resistant and completely machine washable. The Fortamajig is an open-ended toy that can be anything your child wants a fort, a tent, a canopy almost anything your child’s imagination can think of. The Boy and I had fun setting up The Fortamajig, parental assistance is not required by I was so jealous I just had to get in there, haha. Afterwards The Boy and The Babe had fun playing inside and later when it was left for me to clean up after them it wasn’t so bad. The Fortamajig was mom invented and it shows, there are not a lot of pieces to be lost and complicate things and everything easily rolls up nicely into it’s own little bag. Easy clean up and easy storage is what I love best. The Fortamajig has a hefty price tag starting at $69.95US for a single-layer or $89.95US for a reversible but it’s very worth it for the years of use your kids will get out of it and even for the few hours of piece and quite you will get from your kids being occupied.
The Fortamijig can be purchased directly from the The Happy Kid Company. They will ship to the US(free s/h) or Canada.
