I always avoided giving The Babe snacks or a drink in his car seat because having to un-strap the seat from our car and pull all the straps out of the seat just to get the cover off to wash it and then reassemble the whole thing again is a lot of work. Just the thought of having to do that once makes me cringe let alone having to do it every few weeks. That’s why I was overjoyed to receive my new Lilly Pad Car Seat Cover. This car seat cover is easy to put on and take off without a fuss. It velcros on without having to pull out all the straps and comes right back off just as easily too. It goes right over your existing seat cover and is waterproof so the cover underneath goes completely untouched. Even after numerous trips through the washer and dryer the seat cover still looks brand new. The Lilly Pad Car Seat Cover comes in 10 gorgeous fabrics so your car seat will be clean and fashionable. The seat cover fits most 5-point harness toddler car seats and is made in the US.You can purchase your very own Lilly Pad Car Seat Cover for $120US straight from Lilly Pad. They ship to both US and Canada.

That looks really cool! Any info to show that it's legal to use in Canada and doesn't interfere with the effectiveness of the harness?

These look great but they are a bit pricey! I love the patterns though, they sure beat the boring plaid patterns that most car seats come in.
My favourite: Pink Soufle!

Lindsay,
I spoke to Heidi at Lilly Pad and here's what she had to say about your question.
"You will need to check with your manufacturer's warranty on your car seat. Most warranties are for 1 year from the date of purchase. Our cover is as thin as a piece of clothing, so there is not the risk of it being to "fluffy" and interfering with the integrity of the car seat. When doing research for this product, we attended a informational program on car seat safety. I was amazed to find out that up to 75% of car seats are installed incorrectly in the car. Also, the officers found that many people also had the belts threaded incorrectly after taking the manufacturer's cover off for cleaning and then trying to put it back on. Obviously, both of these things greatly impacted the safety of the car seat restraint system. In many places people take their car seat to the fire department (or someplace like that) to have it safely and securely installed in their car. It is our feeling that LEAVING the car seat securely strapped in the car with the belts correctly threaded is extremely important for safety. With the Lilly Pad Car Seat Cover, you do not have to remove the car seat OR the belts to remove the cover for cleaning. I had my car seat installed at the fire department and it doesn't budge, but I still get to have a clean, sanitary car seat in my car because my cover is washed regularly."
